Quick answers

R407C FAQ

Four product-specific answers for confident R407C selection.
Is R407C right for my system?

Use it only to service eligible existing equipment whose label and manufacturer documentation explicitly specify R407C. Stationary-system purchases require Section 608 certification or employment of a certified technician.

Can R407C replace R22?

Only through a manufacturer-approved retrofit performed by a qualified professional. R407C is not a universal drop-in replacement and must not be mixed with the existing refrigerant charge.

What does the A1 classification mean?

A1 is the ASHRAE safety classification for lower toxicity with no flame propagation under the standard test conditions. Professional handling, recovery equipment, the SDS, and applicable EPA requirements still apply.

What is supplied in this cylinder?

One factory-sealed, non-refillable cylinder containing 25 lb / 11.3 kg of R407C: 23% R32, 25% R125, and 52% R134a by weight.
